Cookie Policy

Effective date: 22 September 2026

This page is short because the position it describes is simple: innovabase.online sets no cookies, and there is nothing on it that would need your consent. The rest of this page explains what that means in practice and what the site does instead.

What a cookie is

A cookie is a small piece of text that a website asks your browser to store and hand back on later visits, which is how a site recognises a returning browser. The same description covers the related techniques — local storage, session storage and similar browser facilities — that keep information on your device between page loads.

This site sets none

Innovabase sets no cookies of its own, for any purpose, and allows no third party to set one through it. Specifically, and without exception:

  • No analytics or measurement package of any kind.
  • No advertising tag, conversion pixel or remarketing code.
  • No social media buttons, embedded players or comment systems, each of which would bring a third party's cookies with it.
  • No session identifier, because there is nothing to sign into.
  • No preference cookie, because there is no setting to remember.
  • No content delivery network, no hosted font service and no externally hosted script or stylesheet. Every file this site loads comes from innovabase.online, and the typefaces are ones already present on your device.

There is consequently no cookie banner on this site, and its absence is not an oversight. A consent notice on a site that sets no cookies would be asking permission for something that never happens, which is a false statement dressed as diligence. If you look for cookies from this domain in your browser's storage inspector, you will find none, and that is the intended result.

We do not list cookie names here for the same reason: there are none to name. Any list would be invented.

What happens instead

The one thing that is recorded is the ordinary log kept by the web server that delivers these pages, which the hosting provider operates. Every web server keeps something of this sort. For each request it records the IP address the request came from, the user agent string the browser sends, the URL requested, the response code, and the date and time.

That record is created by the server as part of receiving a request, not by anything in the page, and it is not stored on your device. It is used to keep the site running and secure — diagnosing errors and identifying abusive automated traffic — and it is kept for up to 30 days. The privacy policy sets out the detail, including retention, the parties involved and the cross-border disclosure that follows from the hosting being located outside Australia.

No local storage, and no fingerprinting

The site uses no local storage, no session storage and no indexed database. The only JavaScript on the site is a single first-party file that opens and closes the navigation menu on small screens and marks the page you are currently on. It is short, readable and unminified, and you are welcome to read it at /assets/main.js.

Nor does the site attempt browser fingerprinting — the practice of identifying a visitor by combining characteristics such as fonts, screen dimensions, installed plugins or canvas rendering. No such measurement is taken and no such identifier is constructed.

Some pages link to other organisations, including Australian government bodies and the vendor of the game covered here. Following one of those links takes you to a site with its own policies, which are likely to include cookies. Nothing on innovabase.online sets a cookie for another site, and no cookie of ours travels with you — but once you have arrived somewhere else, that site's policy governs, not this one.

Managing cookies in your browser anyway

Whatever this site does, you can control cookies generally. Every major browser offers settings that block cookies, block third-party cookies specifically, clear what is already stored, and show what a given site has stored. They are usually found under a heading such as privacy, security or site data in the browser's settings, and the browser's own help pages describe the current location, which changes between versions.

Blocking cookies entirely can break sites that rely on them for signing in or keeping a basket. It will not affect this site in any way, since nothing here depends on one.

If this ever changes

We do not intend to add cookies or tracking to this site. If that position ever changes, three things will happen before any cookie is set: this page will be rewritten to describe exactly what is used and why, a working consent mechanism will be in place so that non-essential cookies are only set after you agree, and the privacy policy will be updated in the same change. A tag will not go live first with the documentation catching up afterwards.

Questions

If something on this page does not match what you observe in your browser, we would like to know. Write to info@innovabase.online with what you found and how you found it. A policy that describes the site inaccurately is a defect, and it would be treated as one.
